Abstract

Among seven treatments, T. chilonis @ 55000 parasitized eggs/ha showed significantly superior results causing 82.22 to 86.00% reduction in infestation of Chilo tumidicostalis. Population of C. tumidicostalis showed negative correlation with increase in number of parasitized eggs of T. chilonis. The release of Trichograrmma chilonis @ 55000/ha for six times at an interval of 15 days was found most effective against C. tumidicostalis in sugarcane under north Bihar agro-climatic conditions.
