Abstract

A sustainable approach was designed using coriander as repellent crop and integrating it with components like phytosanitation, trapping, net barrier and plant extracts to minimize the pest density and subsequently reduction in damage by pests and requirement of synthetic pesticides. The sustainable treatments produced good results, kept the intensity of infestation and extent of damages of the key pest at low levels. It was safer to natural enemies as well as pollinators, registered good healthy yields and offered favourable cost-benefit ratio.
