Abstract

Among eight treatments, soil drenching with chlorpyriphos 20 EC @ 0.06 per cent was best recording lowest per cent tuber damage (6.81 & 7.28 per cent based on weight and number basis respectively) and highest tuber yield (123.38 q/ha), followed by the application of banana trap @ 350–400 numbers/ha mixed with malathion 5 per cent dust recording 8.68 and 8.94 per cent a tuber infestation both on weight and number basis respectively with tuber yield of 119.33 q/ha. The highest benefit cost ratio (8.80) was obtained with soil drenched with chlorpyriphos 20 EC @ 0.06 per cent followed by banana trap @ 350–400 numbers/ha mixed with malathion 5 per cent dust (6.04).
