Abstract

The mean leaf hopper population based on observations during high population pressure showed that least leaf hoppers i.e. 13.48/leaf were noted on genotype AKOV-117 with 6.62 per cent host plant susceplity indices (HPSI) followed by AKOV-107-04 and AKOV-108-3 with 14.01 and 14.59 leaf hopper/leaf, respectively. The aphid population mean showed that the least population was on AKOV-107-04 (0.49/leaf) with 3.81% HPSI followed by DG-AKOV-106-1-1-7 and AKOV-101-8-3 with 4.43% and 5.37% HPSI, respectively. Genotype Parbhani Kranti harbored minimum whiteflies (0.43/leaf) and showed least HPSI (3.91%) than other genotypes under investigation. DG-AKOV106-1-1-7 had least whiteflies 0.74/leaf and showed 6.64 host plant susceptibility indices. Whereas, maximum whiteflies were on AKOV-99-04-3 (1.29/leaf) with 11.62 HPSI followed by 1.24/leaf on AKOV-98-04-1 with 11.17% HPSI.
