Acetone extract of Citrus limon leaf was assessed to demonstrate its toxic effect on the stored insect pest, Callosobruchus chinensis. Significant changes in the DNA of adult Callosobruchus chinensis were observed when treated with its dose of 1.6% indicating the presence of active components in the plant leaves.
