Study of correlation between weather parameters and Bihar hairy caterpillar incidence on different varieties of sunflower

Abstract

The significantly highest yield and minimum infestation was observed in variety Phule Raviraj than variety Bhanu and MSFH-17, in sunflower sowing window 30 MW (S2: 23 July-29 July) was higher then 34 MW (S3: 20 Aug-26 Aug) and (S1: 26 June-01 July) under protected condition (P1) as compared to unprotected condition (P2). Phule Raviraj variety of kharif sunflower during 30 MW (S2: 23 July-29 July) gave maximum returns with minimum infestation of Bihar hairy caterpillar.
