Seasonal incidence on population dynamics of pigeonpea pod bug, Clavegralla gibbosa (Spinola)

The result revealed that the pest incidence started from 43^rd standard week and peak pest population was recorded at 49^th and 50^th standard week and after that pest population declined. The insect remain in the field till harvesting of the crop. The insect showed negative correlation with maximum and minimum temperature (r =-0.284 and-0.468), positive with maximum relative humidity (r = 0.249) while negative with minimum relative humidity (r =-0.135). However, Rain fall also showed negative correlation with the pest population (r =-0.159).
