The result revealed that the pest incidence started from 43rd standard week and peak pest population was recorded at 49th and 50th standard week and after that pest population declined. The insect remain in the field till harvesting of the crop. The insect showed negative correlation with maximum and minimum temperature (r =-0.284 and-0.468), positive with maximum relative humidity (r = 0.249) while negative with minimum relative humidity (r =-0.135). However, Rain fall also showed negative correlation with the pest population (r =-0.159).
