Abstract

Bioassay studies were conducted to evaluate the insecticides viz. cypermethrin, emamectin benzoate, indoxacarb, lambda-cyhalothrin, malathion, novaluron and thiodicarb by leaf dip method against third instar larvae of Spodoptera litura (Fabricius) field populations. For all the three locations (Berthin, Palampur and Bajaura), the lowest LC50 value was obtained for emamectin benzoate (0.0348 to 0.0715 ppm) followed by indoxacarb (0.2183–0.2714 ppm) and thiodicarb (4.7412–9.5191 ppm). The highest LC50 value was obtained for lambda-cyhalothrin (376.9154 to 517.367 ppm).
