Thoracites abdomenalis (Fabricius): The only species belonging to genus Thoracites braurer and bergenstamm (Diptera: Calliphoridae) known from the oriental region

Abstract

The only known species of the genus Thoracites from the Oriental region has been studied and a detailed description includes synonymy, morphological attributes, colouration, chaetotaxy, wing venation, illustrations of male genitalia, material examined, distribution, holotype depository and remarks.
