The role of the larvae "Black Soldier Fly" Hermentua illucens as an alternative feed for Anguilla sp.

Black Soldier Fly (Hermentua illucens) as an animal feed has advantages. The use of BSF has larvae as feed of Anguilla sp. is healthy source of higher protein which is cheap and ecofriendly. The method that use Food Consumption Ratio (FCR) and Efficiency Feed (EF) at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% & 100% for measuring weight gain and growth length from start until final observation on Anguilla sp. showed that BSF larvae feed @ 75% and 100% gave almost similar level that of stored feed. BSF showed a complete deity composition such as amino acid pattern, and could be a substitute for fish meal in diets for fish and various non-ruminants. It is possible to substitute dietary meal feed with larvae BSF.
