Abstract

Results revealed that amongst all the insecticides after first and second spraying thiocyclam hydrogen oxalate (4% G) @ 500 g a.i./ha was found to be the most effective against Scripophaga incertulas (Walker) on rice variety HUBR 10-7 with a maximum reduction as 4.22% damage per 10 hills. The mean per cent incidence in untreated control was 8.17/10 hills. Thiocyclam hydrogen oxalate treated plots gave higher yield of 7.69 t/ha, but the yields obtained from cratap hydrochloride (7.19 t/ha), pymetrozine (6.69 t/ha) dinotefuron (6.24 t/ha) were statistically on par.
