Abstract

The beetles belonging to the family Cerambycidae, commonly known as longicorn beetles or longhorned beetles, are serious pests of cash crops and freshly felled log woods. Prioninae, Lepturinae, Cerambycinae and Lamiinae are the four subfamilies reported so far from Kerala. Glenea (Stiroglenea) cantor (Fabricius, 1782) (Subfamily Lamiinae) is recorded for the first time from Pandy forest (Southern Western Ghats) of Kerala, South India. In the present paper Glenea (Stiroglenea) cantor is redescribed.
