A new population variant of C. peregrina Walker has been reported. This variant is distinct from peregrina due to absence of dark chocolate colour of the androconial patch of hindwing. A new species group, Cyana peregrina species group is also established here for the three species: C. peregrina, C. catorhoda and C. bhatejai.
