Study was undertaken to evaluate the new pre-mixture insecticide, sulfoxaflor 3.75 + chlorpyriphos 37.5 SE against brown plant hopper, Nilaparvata lugans under laboratory and field condition. In laboratory condition, when BPH exposed to sulfoxaflor 3.75 + chlorpyriphos 37.5 SE at 2.5 and 3.0 ml/l exhibited no honey dew excretion. Least honeydew areas were noticed in sulfoxaflor, buprofezin and sulfoxaflor 3.75 + chlorpyriphos 37.5 SE (1.5 and 2.0 ml) and maximum honeydew excretion was observed in chlorantraniliprole and chlorpyriphos. Under field condition, Sulfoxaflor 3.75 + chlorpyriphos 37.5 SE 619 g a.i./ha and sulfoxaflor 3.75 + chlorpyriphos 37.5 SE 516 g a.i./ha were superior and effective in reducing the BPH population followed by sulfoxaflor 24 SC 75 g a.i./ha. Sulfoxaflor 3.75 + chlorpyriphos 37.5 SE 413 g a.i./ha, buprofezin 25 SC 200 g a.i/ha and chlorantraniliprole 20 SC 30 g a.i./ha were the next best treatments in the order of significant superiority.
