The pest control potential and prey preference of Crossopriza lyoni, Stegodyphus sarasinorum, Pardosa brevivulva and Cyrtophora citricola was examined on larvae of Chrysodeixis acuta, Achaea janata, Helicoverpa armigera and Spodoptera litura in laboratory. All the four spider species showed clear preference for C. acuta larvae over three other insect larvae.
