Abstract

The results of present study (2008–2018) showed that out of 102 patients of cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL), 39 were women (38%) and 63 were men (62%). The study further showed that there were no cases of CL in 6 months of the year, including March, April, May, December, January, and February, and cases were recorded only in June, July, August, September, October, and November. The highest cases were recorded in August and the lowest in June and November. Moreover, the highest and lowest incidence rates were reported among students and drivers. The results further indicate that rural CL is common in the city of Meshkan and despite the control and prevention measures, the incidence rates have not decreased.
