Abstract

Short-horned grasshopper (Orthoptera: Acrididae) plays a critical role in the forest ecosystem, and impacts on the structure, function and health of forest ecosystems. The relationship between biodiversity and the stability of the acridid community, particularly species numbers and diversity for acridids of forest ecosystem interact on each other. Acridid communities clearly show that where anthropogenic disturbance is greater, the biodiversity of this group tends to decline. Acridids can also be used to evaluate the shortterm impact of environmental changes on a variety of habitats have resulted in the development of national and global models.
