Field studies were conducted to evaluate the biocides and phyto chemicals in farmers’ field for the management of groundnut thrips and Groundnut bud necrosis virus (GBNV) in groundnut. Three rounds of sprays of biocides and phyto chemicals were given along with untreated check. Sorghum leaf extract (10%) + quinalphos 25 EC (0.05%) and coconut leaf extract (10%) + quinalphos 25 EC (0.05%) showed the maximum reduction on thrips population and also suppressed the GBNV incidence and increased pod yield when compared to the control in both the trials.
