Abstract

Present study has been designed to evaluate physicochemical characterisitics of honey of Apis Cerana collected from three different regions of Western Himalaya. All the samples obtained from three different districts of Himachal Pradesh, (Himalayan region) were filtered and analyzed for various physico-chemical parameters such as colour, pH, moisture, solid content, ash content, glucose, fructose, glucose/fructose ratio. However, Honey obtained from Apis cerana colonies in the study area do not have any significant variation, when compared with national or international standards.
