Abstract

This study presents results on species identification of leafhopper Amrasca damaging durian Durio zibethinus Murr in Viet Nam based on classical morphology and molecular DNA barcode method. Subsequently, two leafhopper species A. biguttula Ishida, 1913 and A. splendens Ghauri, 1967 were identified. The diagnosis, description and photos of the species were given. The mitochondrial COI genes were successfully amplified for species confirmation and deposited to Genbank (accession number MW190078).
