Taxonomy of jumping plant lice of the sub-family Ciriacreminae (Hemiptera: Psylloidea) from Cameroon

Abstract

Psyllids of Ciriacreminae sub-family from Cameroon are revised. Fourteen species of three genera were recorded and described within this fauna: Heteropsylla (one specie); Kleineilla (five species); Ciriacremum (eight species). Five known species are redescribed: Heteropsylla cubana Crawford, Kleiniella guineensis Hollis, K. congoensis Hollis, Ciriacremum nigripes Hollis and C. nigeriense Hollis. Nine new species are described for the first time: Kleiniella nkomilongi sp. n., K. zenkerella sp. n., K. nkoemvonei sp. n., Ciriacremum owonaei sp. n., C. njongfangi sp. n., C. tonoei sp. n., C. rubeus sp. n., C. burckhardti sp. n. and C. camerunensis sp. n. adults and larvae are diagnosed and illustrated.
