The present study aimed to develop suitable pest forecasting model for planning management strategies under prevailing agroclimatic conditions. J48 decision tree model has been proposed for forecasting the incidence of jassids. Weather parameters like maximum temperature, minimum temperature, relative humidity and rainfall during meteorological weeks were considered to build the model. The results indicated that among all the weather factors minimum temperature played a vital role on incidence of jassids on cotton.
