The results revealed that lowest pod damage percent (1.66 and 1.00) and highest grain yield (19.25 q/ha) were obtained from Flubendiamid 40SP @ 400 g a.i./ha−1 followed by Chlorantranilprople. All the other treatments were significantly superior to control. The highest C: B ratio (1: 4.18) was obtained from Chlorantranilprople. The result showed that Flubendiamide was more effective against pod damage while, Chlorantranilprople showed high C: B ratio. Therefore, Chlorantranilprople 18.5 SC @ 30 g a.i./ha−1 against pigeon pea pod fly may be recommended as an effective, practical alternative and lucrative cultivation of pigeon pea.
