Botyodes diniasalis was first time reared on P. deltoides and biology of this species was studied in detail. Damaging symptom and nature of damage was also studied during July to August. The eggs were laid in cluster formed on both leaf surfaces and rarely on twigs. The incubation period was 5.5 days. The female fecundity was 274.33 eggs. The larval period completed through five instars stages and feeding period of larvae lasts for 11.13 days. The pupal period prolonged for 7.85 days. Life cycle completes within 29.78 days. Additionally, its nature of damage and morphology was also studied.
