Relative efficacy of various bio-rational insecticides against fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda on maize crop

Abstract

Studies on bio-efficacy of eight bio-rational insecticides against fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda revealed that spinetoram 11.7% SC @ 0.3 ml/lit was found to be the most effective insecticide, which recorded the highest reduction in larval population i.e. 79.48% after first spray, 85.78% and 46.74% after second and third sprays, respectively followed by Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC @ 3.0 ml per lit.
