Abstract

Relative toxicity of five insecticides viz., Acephate 75 SP, Carbosulfan 25 EC, Dimethoate 30 EC, Fipronil 5 SC and Profenofos 50 EC were evaluated against Uroleucon compositae to determine LC50 values using leaf dip method of bioassay. The LC50 values ranged between 0.003 - 0.031%. Based on LC50 value, Dimethoate 30 EC registered highest LC50 value (0.031%) followed by Acephate 75 SP (0.029), Profenofos 50 EC (0.022), Carbosulfan 25 EC (0.0105 and Fipronil 5 SC (0.003). Fipronil 5 SC was most toxic among other insecticides.
