The aphids, Aphis craccivora population on black gram during the 7th SMW in rabi (2017–18) was abundant (17 aphids/three leaves), but thereafter declined but 17th SMW, saw increase in aphid population (18.12 aphids/leaves) in summer. The population of leaf hoppers was considerable in the 5th SMW (17.36 leaf hoppers/three leaves) but maximum leafhopper population (18.3/three leaves) was recorded in 15th SMW. Bemisia tabaci population peaked during the 6th SMW of rabi (14.3 whitefly/three leaves), followed by 16th SMW (14 whitefly/three leaves). The population of thrips Megalurothrips usitatus was 8.3 thrips/plant in 4th SMW and highest mean population of thrips (8.5 thrips/plant) was in 15 SMW. The greatest number of coccinellids (4.2 beetles/plant) was found during the 7th SMW. While the number was maximum in the 17th SMW (5.2 beetles/plant) in summer. The increase in borer damage per cent was reported in the 8th SMW (14.6%), followed by 10.3% in the 18th SMW in summer.
