The experiment was conducted under completely randomized design (CRD) with eight treatments viz., Castor oil @ 5 ml/kg seed, Karanj oil @ 5 ml/kg seed, Sesamum oil @ 5 ml/kg seed, Cow dung cake ash @ 10 g/kg seed, Neem seed kernel powder @ 10 g/kg seed, tobacco leaf powder @ 10 g/kg seed, custard apple leaf powder @ 10 g/kg seed and untreated control. Karanj oil @ 5 ml/kg seeds followed by castor oil @ 5 ml/kg seeds and tobacco leaf powder @ 10 g/kg seeds showed minimum preference for oviposition, adult emergence, seed infestation and total weight loss.
