Abstract

Cloeon bicolor was described based on the adult from West Bengal by Kimmins (1947). Even though being common in India, it was reported in the literature quite rarely, and its known distribution to date includes Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Recently, specimens were collected in Maduari and Tirunelveli (Tamil Nadu) and examined the material, and provide the description of larvae for the first time and re-description of adults (male and female) from associated material by rearing.
