Abstract

Among morphological parameters assessed, shoot diameter showed highly significant positive correlation with average shoot infestation by E. vittella, while pericarp thickness and trichome density on fruit gave a significantly negative correlation with E. vittella during both the year of experimentation. The factors like average plant height, fruit length, and fruit diameter and trichome length on fruit observed to be nonsignificant correlation with pest infestation.
