The data obtained from this study showed that the overall mean population of thrips per plant was minimum in the genotype IC-329039 followed by IC-325782, while maximum population of thrips was recorded in IC-103862 followed by IC-39446. The genotypes which were grouped under resistance category in both the seasons were selected for further evaluation to develop desirable varieties.
