Abstract

Resistance potential of 280 cowpea genotypes against aphid, Aphis craccivora Koch was evaluated during rabi, 2020 and kharif, 2021. Weekly observations on aphid population and mean infestation index were recorded. Based on the standard scale, in rabi season, 251 genotypes were rated resistant while 15 genotypes were moderately resistant, 10 were susceptible and 4 were highly susceptible. In kharif season, 212 genotypes were resistant and 32 were moderately resistant while 20 were susceptible and 16 were highly susceptible.
