Abstract

The peak seasonal incidence (19.8 insects/plant) of Lace bug, Cochlochila bullita on sweet basil was reported in 46th standard week and started declining from 47th standard week onwards of 2020. The natural enemies associated with economically important insects on sweet basil are spiders, coccinellids, green lace wing on sweet basil. The yield in plots treated with Prophenophos 50 EC was 5755.5 kg/ha, whereas the yield in the untreated plot was 5034.8 kg/ha. The highest per cent pest control after spray at 14th day was recorded in treatment T2 - NSKE 5% (53.16) followed by T4 - karanj oil 2% (43.24), T5 - sample (28.57), T3 - Neem oil 2% (28.17) and T1 - Tobacco decoction 5% (23.52).
