Abstract

The present study deals with the vital role and value of microorganisms in the prevention of illness. A literature review methodology was used for this study by searching for the following keywords in databases: infectious disease, microorganism, virus, bacteria. Microorganisms are among the most important and elementary biological phenomena. Without them, no plants or animals could live any longer. All living organisms, plants and animals are hosts of microbiota. Microbiota have created and colonized all this variety in their cultivation environments for their survival and durability. They are the organizers of life and have complete and inviolable control over living organisms. Therefore, every living being normally experiences sickness and health caused by microbiota activities. In the conflict with infectious agents, every living organism, i.e. plant or animal, becomes stronger or will be destroyed due to incapacity. This is the most important function of microorganism in the biosphere. Therefore, their destruction and eradication is an illusion. Treatment of illnesses with antibiotics loses its effectiveness after a while and may cause the imbalance or Dysbiosis, which usually has destructive effects on the health of individuals. The fundamental method to prevent humans from getting sick is vaccination and respect for biodiversity for all creatures.
