Abstract

It was evident from the surveys conducted that major triggers for whitefly and CLCuD outbreak were the combinations of late sowing, growing of susceptible, long duration, bushy and hairy cotton genotypes, indiscriminate use of insecticides, excess application of nitrogenous fertilizer and accompanied with the hot humid weather condition. However, this pulse gradient outbreak was managed well during the succeeding cropping seasons by adopting eco-sustainable management practices.
