Twenty one pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp) landraces were evaluated to identify sources of resistance against pulse beetle, Callosobruchus chinensis (L.) using no-choice tests under laboratory conditions. Resistance was evaluated by measuring number eggs laid per 20 seed (NE), adult emergence (AE), per cent adult emergence (PAE), growth index (GI) and per seed weight loss (PSWL). Based on AE and GI, all landraces were categorized into either susceptible or highly susceptible group. One landrace namely, IC 637089 was found to be moderately resistant according to PSWL. Based on correlation analysis, it was found that seed physical characters did not have significant effect on any of the insect biological characters.
