Abstract

Traditional pesticide formulations and delivery technologies have numerous consequences that have resulted in environmental damage and adverse human health effects. As a result, there is a constant need to seek out methods that are efficient, safe, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly. Nanotechnology is one such revolutionary strategy that can be used in this regard to distribute pesticides with precision, control, and targeted distribution. This critical review looked into the many features of the nanopesticides delivery system, such as the utilisation of nano-alumina, nano-silver, nano-silica, nano-titanium, and other nanoparticles, as well as encapsulated nanoformulations based on polymers viz., polyethylene glycol, chitosan, etcand nano-biopesticides in the management of insect-pests in agriculture.
