The present study reports that among aqueous extracts of five botanicals P. hydropiper showed most effective insecticidal activity to reduce the B. subcostatum followed by T. chebula, M. azedarach and C. papaya while M. malabathricum was least effective in showing insecticidal activity. These plant extracts may be utilized as potential insecticidal treatments against leaf and fruit scarring beetle of banana.
