Abstract

The cumulative per cent plant damage during 2-year experiment revealed that all the insecticidal treatments were significantly superior to the untreated control. The fipronil 40% + imidacloprid 40% WG @ 300 g a.i./ha proved most effective, having the lowest plant damage with 5.56 and 6.06%, followed by clothianidin 50 WG (120 g a.i./ha), where the plant damage was 6.06 and 7.07% during the years 2019 and 2020, respectively. Based on production, all the treatments were found significantly superior over control (10.56 and 11.85 q/ha), in which the highest and lowest grain yields were recorded in fipronil 40% + imidacloprid 40% WG @ 300 g a.i./ha (23.33 and 24.44 q/ha) and emamectin benzoate 5SG @ 12.5 g a.i./ha (13.33 and 15.19 q/ha) during two consecutive years of study. Results further revealed that phytotoxicity was not observed in any of the treated soybean plots and the population of natural enemies did not suffer significantly.
