The role of viruses in the ecosystem in the formation and biodiversity of plants, animals and microorganisms was studied through searching literature on words virus, microbiome, abundance of species and articles available in databases during the years 1996 to 2022. The organisms of autotrophs and heterotrophs have been created as a result of biological needs by viruses. Viruses are not considered as common pathogens but as integral and important components of ecosystems. Viruses affect all biological phenomena, interactions between species and individuals, populations and ecosystems, their health, flexibility and performance. A very small part of viruses become pathogenic under certain conditions, but a large part of them are pioneers of life in the biosphere. Viruses and humans are similar only in parasitic life, but they are at opposite poles in terms of life organization. Viruses are the architects and founders of life. Considering the absolute dominance of viruses in the biosphere, it can be said that the kingdom of life in the biosphere is at their disposal. Without them, there would never have been any existence and so much diversity would not have been observed.
