The main objective of this research was to observe the effect of refugia (marigold) on decreasing the number of whitefly if any, on eggplant in comparison with no treatment (i.e. without the use of marigold refugia). The data on whitefly abundance were collected using a total sampling technique for 12 weeks of observation. Environmental data collection was carried out on temperature and humidity. Analysis of whitefly abundance data used an independent sample t-test, and further tests used an effect size test. The results showed that marigold refugia plants can reduce the abundance of whitefly on eggplant.
