Abstract

Nine insecticides viz., chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC, cypermethrin 25 EC, emamectin benzoate 5 SG, spinosad 45 SC, profenofos 50 EC, flubendiamide 39.35 SC, indoxacarb 14.50 SC, lambda-cyhalothrin 5 EC, thiodicarb 75 WP and control (water) were evaluated for their relative toxicity against T. bactrae. The results revealed that none of the insecticides were found safer to adults of T. bactrae except control (water) treatment. However, significantly lowest adult mortality was recorded in flubendiamide 39.35 SC and chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC which were categorized as slightly harmful. Moreover, spinosad 45 SC and profenofos 50 EC resulted in cent per cent adult mortality, which indicated it deadly harmful to T. bactrae. The maximum egg parasitization and adult emergence over control was recorded in chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC and flubendiamide 39.35 SC and registered as harmless. However, minimum egg parasitization and adult emergence of T. bactrae was recorded in the profenofos 50 EC and spinosad 45 SC which were registered as moderately harmful to T. bactrae.
