Abstract

The data revealed that the population of spotted pod borer was low from 13 to 18th SMW and ranged between 0.67 to 13.33 spotted pod borer per 10 plants of greengram, where as maximum population was recorded 27 larvae per 10 plant in the 22th standard week with minimum temperature of 21.36°C, maximum temperature 36.54°C, min. R.H. 31.86%, max. R.H. 59% and rainfall 1.79 mm. Mean population of spotted pod borer expressed positive correlation with minimum temperature (+0.131), maximum temperature (+0.579), rainfall (+0.458) and negatively correlate with minimum R.H. (-0.251) and maximum R.H. (-0.319).
