A preliminary report on tomato pests (Solanum lycopersicum Dunal L.) in Nadia district, West Bengal, India

Abstract

During winter season, tomato crop was found infested with fruit borer, green garden looper, American serpentine leaf miner, whitefly, flea beetles, mealy bugs and aphids. These pests caused significant losses to the crop by either chewing the leaves leading to flower wilts or boring into the fresh tomatoes.
