Members of the family Coreidae are uniformly distributed all over the world. Because of its agricultural importance, lot of work has been done on various aspects of this family in different countries of the world. But very little work has been done in India, and there is hardly a report on the molecular work on this family from the country. So, the present review involves mostly taxonomic work including the external genitalia. Reports about the cytogenetic work are also included in this study.
