Open field multichoice screening of 30 chickpea genotypes along with resistant and susceptible checks was carried out against gram pod borer Helicoverpa armigera. Based on observation of number of H. armigera larvae/plant, pod damage per cent and yield recorded over two years revealed that resistant genotypes such as AKG 1303 and CSJ 866, as well as moderately resistant genotypes such as Phule G 0818, RSG 974, BG 3076, H 13-36 and Dc 16-2 showed better performance against H. armigera.
