Department of Entomology, Banda University of Agriculture & Technology, Banda - 210 001, Uttar Pradesh, India

Abstract

The mustard sawfly (Athalia lugens proxima Klug.) observed between 45th to 6th Standard Week (SW) with peak population of 0.90 & 1.70, 0.25 & 2.20 and 1.20 & 0.20 grub (s)/plant, painted bug (Bagrada cruciferarum Kirk.) between 49th to 12th SW with peak population of 1.29 & 1.20, 1.70 & 1.55 and 1.40 & 1.70 nymphs & adults/plant and flea beetle (Phyllotreta cruciferae Goeze) between 46th to 8th SW with peak population of 2.60 & 2.00, 1.41 & 0.60 and 3.60 & 0.60 grub(s) & adult(s)/ plant during rabi 2019-20 & 2020-21, respectively on timely, mid-late and late sown crop. A mixed type of significant level of correlation coefficient was observed among insect-pests’ population and weather parameters and at different sowing dates.
