Abstract

Among six insecticides, namely thiamethoxam 25 WG, acetamiprid 20 SP, chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC, imidacloprid 17.8 SL, profenofos 50 EC, and Neem Seed Kernel Extract (NSKE) 5%, evaluated against the pod borer (Helicoverpa armigera Hübner), chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC demonstrated the highest efficacy, showing significant effectiveness up to 10 days after treatment with the lowest larval population (1.43 larvae/ mrl) followed by profenofos 50 EC with a larval population of 1.77 larvae/mrl.
