Abstract

In 2-year study eleven insecticides were evaluated and pooled data indicated that pyridalyl 10 EC @ 750 ml/ha had recorded lowest mean green boll damage of 32.89% and 29.06% respectively due to pink bollworm during first and second sprays, the same insecticide had recorded a lowest open boll, locule damage and lowest pink bollworm larval recovery per twenty green bolls of 11.33, 3.83% and 0.83 / 20 green bolls respectively. Pyridalyl 10 EC had recorded highest yield of 1479 kg/ha with highest incremental cost-benefit ratio of 24.62 owing to its low cost.
