Four plant powders were evaluated against C. maculatus in chickpea for two consecutive generations in two trials. Amongst the botanicals used, NLP at 6% performed well, resulting in minimal egg laying (70 and 75 eggs/5 females) and (68 and 72.33 eggs/5 females) respectively in trial 1 and 2 as compared to other plant powders, except for standard check with Deltamethrin at 0.04%. Further, MLP at 6% and DLP at 8% also recorded fewer number of eggs. NLP @ 6% gave 100% mortality on 5th day in both the trails.
